Job Summary

This position entails working for BlueGrace Logistics onsite at one of our Enterprise Clients in Freeport, IL. This role will manage the freight shipping processes and functions as the customer’s dedicated transportation resource, linked to the Tampa customer support department. Responsibilities will include ensuring timely service for daily pickups, deliveries, and transfers and reporting these metrics to the customer. Further duties include managing customer, carrier and vendor phone calls, emails and in personal requests. This employee will utilize TMS systems for freight booking and tracking all freight movements.     

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely as a link between BlueGrace and the customer’s transportation manager and department
  • Managing transportation functions of LTL and Full Truckload freight shipments domestically in the US and internationally in Mexico and Canada
  • Dedicated customer support, working with customer vendors to around inbound freight LTL and TL pickups
  • Troubleshoot challenges by investigation of complaints and taking corrective action
  • Prepare and distribute reports relating to tracking and key customer must-deliver-by-dates.
  • Understanding supply chain functions and executing key initiatives to continue development of customer transportation capabilities
  • Identify opportunity for improvement in the transportation service and document and communicate to the corporate Operations Manager

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

1-5 years of Freight Transportation (LTL and TL) industry experience is required.

Language Skills:

Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, technical procedures, or company memos.

Computer skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in internet software, and Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
