Internship Opportunities: 

 

1) Enterprise Development Internship

This is a learning and development opportunity primarily responsible for sourcing, qualifying and engaging Target Enterprise (“Large Client”) Opportunities. The EDR will research for businesses throughout the United States with high shipment volume, multiple locations and/or technology integration needs. The EDR will prepare selling campaigns to target accounts via telephone cold calls, email and internet marketing. The EDR will develop opportunities to set up and run sales meetings via phone or web to investigate and discover customers’ business and transportation needs. EDR’s will collaborate with the Enterprise Sales Team. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Sourcing leads by researching the internet, trade publications, Data.com, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, owler.com, publications, outside work networking events, and other sources to establish a target prospect list
  • Making 25 calls minimum daily to qualify prospects and engage in the sales funnel
  • Adding 50 activities minimum a day in Salesforce. Activities are: calls, LinkedIn connections, LinkedIn in mails / messages,
  • Uses SmartSheet for project management.
  • Helps Business development team with data entry to learn carrier pricing, and carrier / 3pl invoicing and what to look for.
  • Assists Sales Coach with CRM related tasks
  • Effectively manage prospects through daily use of company CRM
  • Provide BlueShip demos to qualified prospects when applicable
  • Assists EDR team with prospect qualification and research
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise sales team to pass qualified opportunities through the funnel
  • Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers
  • Prospect for and engage with high level decision makers, overcoming “kick-downs”
  • Attend sales meeting and trainings
  • Adheres to and follows established sales processes and procedures
  • Participate in role practice

 

Learning Plan:

Interns will develop an understanding of entry level sales, sourcing strategies and c-level networking skills. In the Enterprise Department, interns will specifically gain experience in the large client, Enterprise sales cycle, while building communication, project planning and time management skills. In addition, Enterprise Interns will see enhanced familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator through frequent utilization of this tool. Moreover, our program will allow for interns to learn strategies for overcoming objections 

 

2) Truckload Sales Internship

Teammate’s key role as a Truckload Sales Associate is to help execute on the commitments BlueGrace is making to our customers.  Main job responsibilities include prospecting leads, tracking assigned loads, qualifying carriers, and selling to our carrier partners.  Our interns will leave BlueGrace with a better understanding of the transportation industry and the role it plays in business planning and decision making.  They will also see the impact it has on them as a consumer.  Interns will develop entry level sales and negotiation skills in real world transportation transactions.

Teammates key role as a Carrier Sales intern is to help execute on the commitments BlueGrace is making to our customers.  Main job responsibilities include tracking assigned loads, qualifying carriers, and selling to our carrier partners.  Our interns will leave BlueGrace with a better understanding of the transportation industry and the role it plays in business planning and decision making.  They will also see the impact it has on them as a consumer. 

 

Learning Plan:

Interns will develop entry level sales and negotiation skills in real world transportation transactions. In the Truckload Division, interns will specifically gain understanding of the Carrier Sales and Customer Sales cycles, while building communication, project planning and time management skills. Additionally, our program will allow for interns to learn strategies for overcoming objections through hands-on experience, and continued training lead by our Learning & Development Team.
