    Responsibilities

    • Submits claims to carriers via carrier web sites, or EZ Claims portal
    • Investigates and obtains documentation for claims processing
    • Contacts carriers to provide status updates for claims resolution
    • Provides feedback to internal/external customers regarding claims status
    • Maintains positive carrier relationships through constant communication and timely responses.
    • Creates and/or maintains files, documentation and procedures thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
    • Submits checks requests to customers for claims payments

    Requirements

    • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred.
    • Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.
    • Logistics experience strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience reading, interpreting, and researching freight invoices with a 3PL or freight carrier.  The ideal candidate will understand freight classing and rating issues and will be capable of reading, understanding, and applying carrier tariffs.
    • Must process large amounts of data accurately and completely. Attention to detail is critical in this role and errors must be minimal and inconsequential.
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must have excellent mathematical skills.
