Job Summary

This role is responsible to act as the direct link between upper management and front-line managed logistics staff.  They aim to create a world class customer experience for managed logistics customers by maintaining compliance on current processes and improving efficiency by implementing new processes.  This role will focus heavily on developing employees from a professional standpoint by conducting routine coaching sessions.  This role will be responsible to create an effective team within customer support and operations management which will contribute to the success of the entire managed logistics channel.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Routine coaching with all direct employees, focusing on both performance and development
  • Reporting on productivity metrics
  • Implementing new processes to reduce efficiency gaps
  • Adjusting current processes to promote scalability
  • Conducting daily and weekly department meetings
  • Collaborate with upper leadership to strengthen alignment
  • Auditing time cards to ensure accuracy
  • Creating employee schedules to enable optimal coverage during peak hours
  • Maintaining a strong pulse on team performance
  • Handling escalations from both enterprise customers and cross department interactions
  • Encouraging ESR, EOM and EOP collaboration to build strong communication on each client account
  • Work with upper management to encourage communication with Managed Logistics Directors
  • Developing employees to further their careers both within and outside of Managed Logistics
  • Building strong employee relationships to drive employee engagement
  • Ensuring direct reports are meeting deliverables
  • Holding direct reports accountable to performance standards and improvement instructions
  • Achieve stakeholder satisfaction through managing relationships and calibrating expectations
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by staying informed by reports and customer directly when necessary
  • Performing regular cultivation calls with enterprise customers
  • Participating in the set-up and go-live of new managed logistics customers
  • Participating in the managed logistics on-call program by providing support on nights and weekends
  • Understand customer need and expectations to ensure proper support assignments
  • Manage the distribution of work flow within department to ensure employee engagement
  • Manage employee relations amongst team members
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 3-5 years of transportation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
  • Solution driven with a proven track record of streamlining processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Advanced CRM and TMS skills and proficient in Excel
