What does a typical day look like?
- Develop creative outbound prospecting strategies to build a target list of organizations that fit our customer profile

We are seeking an in office Operations Manager with strong LTL experience. This role is a data driven, detailed oriented, project focused position established to serve the customer. What you’ll do:
- Daily communication between the Customer and BG internal teams as it relates to the customer’s operations

- Create presentations, documents and spreadsheets to help manage customer accounts and share appropriate data with accounts.

What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 or more years of experience in operational warehouse, freight/transportation purchasing role.

- Ability to write business and other related reports and correspondence as an industry subject matter expert.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to analyze all aspects of transportation data to report in clear and meaningful metrics.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

The role is responsible to be the voice of the Managed Logistics customer within BlueGrace. The primary focus is to understand why the customer is doing business with BG, where they see value in BG, and how the customer measures our performance. This role works collaboratively with the operations managers but owns the account within BlueGrace. This is a role of managing accounts and not managing people.

Qualifications:

This position pays $17-$18 an hour. This role is responsible for auditing freight bills that are over five dollars in variance causing a negative margin. The importance of this is to make sure customers are getting accurate invoices and that carrier have the right documentation to be able to support these increases.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Audit invoices for any changes that occurred after the shipment was received from carrier
- Send invoice variances to the correct charge queue. (Carrier, BG, and Customer)
- Make sure carrier has supporting documents for increased charges to our customers.
- Must be able to communicate between Carrier, BG, and Customer teams.
- Must be able to understand customer contracts and carrier rules tariff.
- Responsible for working Return queue and initials after shipment returns for documents queue
- Audit Blue Ship daily
- Providing short and to the point notes to Customer, Carrier, and BG teams so teams will be able to understand what needs to be done to get invoice corrected.
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma required. Some college preferred but not required
- Previous Billing and/or Customer Service experience required
- Logistics industry experience preferred but not required
- Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret documents, technical procedures or company memos
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, volume and density
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form. Understand and recognize consistent trends.
