This role is to support the Strategic Capacity team in managing the daily operations of an emerging service line. The Operations Coordinator will be collaborating closely with carriers and the account management teams to ensure seamless execution on committed shipments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a network of high-level sponsors within our truckload partners
- Collaborate with truckload partners to set strategic initiatives and update ORCA:
- Carrier profile (attributes and services)
- Desired lanes
- Accounts receivable
- Missing paperwork
- Implement and manage:
- Award “go live” to ensure efficient operations
- Registered trailers at customer facilities
- A network of contacts at shipper and consignee locations
- Monitor and organize award management initiatives:
- Awarded tender volume commitments are met
- Work with existing trailer pool management process/technology
- Award timelines
- Facilitate periodic carrier performance check calls
- Understand customer specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Assist carrier reps with any required load rescheduling
- Organize and track booked loads
- Proactively communicate and issue resolution when necessary
- Calling carrier partners to help track down POD’s, invoices, and other supporting documents
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications:
- College degree preferred but not required
- Logistics experience preferred but not required
- Strong phone and written communication skills
- Availability to work some nights and/or weekends
