This role is responsible for the development of the Refrigerated Team and all Team Leads, Carrier Sales Reps and carriers within the reefer division.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee assigned Team Leads, Carrier Sales Reps and Interns
- Monitor call volume and carrier development numbers
- Teach proper carrier qualification and sales techniques
- Perform applicable HR and administrative duties
- Conduct monthly reviews
- Manage freight within assigned geographical region:
- Ensure proper load coverage and attention with a sense of urgency
- Communicate with channel leads to organize and prioritize the load board
- Follow load posting protocol
- Monitor Expected Carrier Costs on committed loads
- Assist in creating pricing strategies for current and potential customer opportunities
- Consult with channel sales reps on spot opportunities
- Assist in developing and updating regional pricing
- Monitor and communicate market and capacity trends
- Proactively shift carrier development needs when applicable

Qualifications:
- 2+ years selling freight as carrier sales rep
- Extensive carrier portfolio development and management
- Possess a good understanding of pricing and bid package process
- Display a strong fundamental approach to load board management
