Job Summary

This role is to support the Strategic Capacity team and manage the daily operations of an emerging service line. The operations coordinator will be working closely with carriers and the account management teams to ensure seamless execution on committed shipments. This position is on-site in Downtown Chicago loop and pays a base salary of $50,000.00 plus a monthly variable commission plan structured around achieving Committed Capacity GP and service metrics, with a potential earning of approximately $500 per month. This target is set at 100% to goal, meaning you can earn less if you are below goal and more if you exceed it.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain a network of high-level truckload partners for strategic and government accounts
  • Implement and manage
    • Award “go live” to ensure efficient operations
    • Yard reports and route guide records for all customer facilities.
    • Contacts at shipper, consignee, and carrier partners
    • Daily issue resolution
  • Monitor and organize award management initiatives
    • Awarded tender volumes, cadence and other commitments are met
    • Robust focus on autonomous or ELD tracking initiatives via Four Kites and P44
    • Work with existing trailer pool management process/technology
  • Data Entry and Tenders
    • Tender and input appropriate equipment and driver information
    • Carrier performance and compliance scorecards
  • Facilitate periodic carrier performance check calls
  • Understand customer specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Proactively communicate and issue resolution when necessary
  • Calling carrier partners to help obtain PODs invoices, and other supporting documents.

 

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred but not required
  • Logistics experience preferred but not required
  • Strong phone and written communication skills
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday while monitoring emails during nights/weekends
