The Billing Specialist is responsible for fulfilling unique billing requirements for large truckload customers primarily. This role is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm or 7 am to 4 pm.   Compensation: $15.50/hr   Duties and responsibilities:  - Prepares invoices with additional documentation such as PODs and lumper receipts - Works with multiple proprietary systems utilized by customers to expedite billing and payment - Establishes relationships and collaborates with sales representatives to design effective solutions to meet customer needs - Provides support, feedback, guidance, and development to Credit team and all Sales team - Determines if customers are within their credit limits and their accounts are up to date - Processes credit applications utilizing an online credit platform - Onboards new customers to for approval of credit limits over $20k - Creates SOPs to streamline processes within the department - Assists in the completion, accuracy, and distribution of invoices for Enterprise accounts requiring custom invoicing (some accounts operate out of their own TMS/ or require POD's/Multi-stop/Lumpers) Qualifications:  - High school diploma required - Logistics/Freight experience or 2-4 years of billing experience preferred - Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and ability to learn Blue Grace systems. - Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. - Follows policies and procedures; Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; Supports organization's goals and values; Benefits organization through outside activities; Supports affirmative action and respects diversity. - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. - Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Will include considerable collaboration and working with multiple stakeholders. - Maintain relations and business with existing customers and continue ongoing support and problem resolution - Negotiate pricing and finalize services contracts - Work closely with the operations team to provide support and serve as a liaison between the customer and the operations staff - Monitor market conditions or trends and develop an annual margin forecast and goals - Provide ongoing support, assist in securing payment, and generate referrals - Obtains positive growth of margin and customers on a monthly basis - Use BlueGrace Logistics trained sales techniques, process, and pipeline milestones to manage sales #4 EMBRACE CHAOS Chaos will happen in life.
