This role is responsible for managing all accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits.   Duties and responsibilities: - Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation - Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes. - Assist with asset audits and internal control reviews, including documentation support to ensure effective financial controls. - Lead in financial planning and budgeting teams as assigned. - Preparing and consolidating financial statements - Establishing and maintaining internal controls - Managing all aspects of the general ledger - Providing monthly, quarterly and year-end analyses - Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles - Analyzing and reporting cost variances - Serving as a liaison to external auditors - Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial statements, including development of processes to achieve results - Other duties may be assigned as needed Qualifications: - Degree in Accounting or related course of study (preferred) - 5 - 6 + years related experience in finance and accounting - Ability to manage and apply a broad range of accounting principles, practices, and procedures - Excellent listening and communication skills, written and oral

This role is responsible primarily for disputing invalid invoices with carriers, research carrier payment inquiries and manage the process for any submitted LTL claims.    Duties and responsibilities:  - Answers all carrier inquiries. - Investigates and obtains documentation for Weight and Inspection, Re-weighs, and Re-classes. - Contacts carriers to research, dispute, and resolve invoice discrepancies. - Resolves carrier billing disputes via phone and email correspondence. - Maintains positive carrier relationships through constant communication and timely responses. - Creates and/or maintains files, documentation and procedures thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. - Assists with special projects as necessary - Reconcile carrier aging’s - Research and process claims including communication to all involved parties - Determines root cause issues that cause carrier billing errors - Works with internal teams to resolve shipments needing to be built in the system, and communicates back to carriers as needed - Other duties may be assigned as needed Qualifications: - Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred. - Six months to one-year related experience and/or training preferred. - Logistics experience strongly preferred. - Experience reading, interpreting, and researching freight invoices with a 3PL or freight carrier. - Attention to detail is critical in this role and errors must be minimal and inconsequential. - Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Must have excellent mathematical skills.

This role is responsible for managing the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounting/Finance Departments. This role will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company policies and applicable laws.   Duties and responsibilities: - Safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing internal audits, controls and checks across all departments - Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, and Operations etc. - Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial statements for CFO & CEO. - Ensure financial plans and processes are consistent with organizational goals - Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc. when necessary - Assist with budget/forecasting process - Manage commercial banking relationships to facilitate an appropriate credit resource under highly competitive terms - Interface with outside audit firms(s), banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agent(s), credit card companies, and collection agencies - Coordinate and oversee annual financial statement audit - Coordinate and oversee all tax return filings including income tax, tangible tax, franchise tax, and payroll tax - Manage the HR responsibilities of the department including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplining employees, performance reviews and addressing complaints and resolving problems. - Other duties may be assigned as needed   Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; Master’s preferred - Five or more related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience - CPA license is preferred but not required - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations - Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints. - Effective and persuasive presentation skills on controversial or complex topics to C-Suite - Must be able to calculate figures and amounts for all bookkeeping, payroll, budgets, statistical analysis and probability statements. - Must use the utmost discretion in all presentations/correspondence and communication for staff, Board of Directors and CFO
